My life is now complete (HLD 110)

10 July 2020

Today was the second morning in a row of very cold weather. For someone who will generally always walk the dog in summer gear, with maybe an added jacket or raincoat depending on necessity, it was the second morning in a row when walking the dog that I wished I’d had the foresight to maybe wear jeans. And possibly closed in shoes.

It was cold.

Fast forward a couple of hours, and I was in a sort of delirium of excitement over clothing.

The shipment of Simon’s stuff from the Netherlands arrived.

It contained a lot of Simon’s stuff (to be expected as he was the one who was living there), but it also contained….. ALL OF MY WINTER CLOTHES!!!!!

I literally did a happy dance when unpacking the jeans, the jumpers, the jackets, the scarves, the socks, the closed in walking shoes…. that had all stayed in the Netherlands after my last visit, because it was expected to be needed over there on my next trip. Which for some strange reason, never happened.

What had me most excited were the pairs of fleecy leggings I had bought from my new favourite shop while over there (Primark now competes with Walmart for overseas shopping joys…)

Now these leggings are going to be waaaaaaay too warm for a normal Perth winter day. They were ideal for a northern hemisphere spring day, of course, but I don’t know how they will go here. But for those morning dog walks for the next month, by golly I’m going to be the most sensibly dressed dog walker around!

I might even wear shoes!

Now I just have to find room in the house for all of Simon’s stuff…
